999 Emergency
The BBC’s long established prime-time series features both actuality and re-constructions of real life emergency situations and rescues.
Taking its title from the UK emergency services phone hotline, 999 features a wide variety of rescue incidents – often painstakingly re-constructed – involving professional emergency workers, people at work, outdoor enthusiasts, action adventurers and hapless members of the public alike. Emergencies don’t discriminate.
This compilation features 21 astonishing life-threatening emergency situations, which often call for hazardous and dangerous rescue operations. Most of the stories are re constructions, but they chillingly convey the horror and reality of each incident. We are pleased to say that in all the cases in this compilation there was a safe ending for all involved. But each story is, nonetheless, a gripping and sometimes terrifying excursion into an emergency nightmare.

'In From the Wild' compares animals that live in the company of humans with their wild relatives, and the results will surprise you.
